Program Risk Manager
Own the Program Risk, Issues & Opportunities (RIO) process across multiple government programs. Continue maturing and improving the existing risk management framework and processes. Lead identification, assessment, prioritization, and mitigation of technical, cost, and schedule risks. Facilitate Risk Cube (Likelihood vs. Consequence) assessments and maintain risk registers. Develop and track mitigation plans while providing executive-level risk reporting. Partner closely with Program Managers and Engineering teams to validate risks and drive mitigation strategies. Support both customer-funded government programs and Internal Research & Development (IRAD) initiatives. Develop training materials and documentation to ensure consistent adoption of risk management best practices. Present recommendations and risk status updates to leadership.
Must-haves include 8-10+ years of hands-on Program Risk Management experience, an Aerospace & Defense background, government contract/program experience, strong understanding of Program Management and Engineering processes, extensive Risk, Issues & Opportunities (RIO) experience, experience utilizing Risk Cube methodology (Probability vs. Consequence), experience partnering directly with Engineering and Program Management organizations, and proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
