The Maintenance Technician performs highly diversified duties, including installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining facility mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic machines and equipment. Assisting in determining needs by predictive maintenance, safety, and continuous improvement measures. This Maintenance Technician is accountable to the Maintenance Lead. Essential Functions:Overseeing maintenance-related projects of a large variety of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment installation, fabrication of fixtures, preventive maintenance, and machine troubleshootingInstall, wire, and troubleshoot control devices, proximity sensors, switches, counters, relays, and VFDsPerform comprehensive diagnostics and repair on three-phase motors and control circuitsTroubleshoot, diagnose issues, repair/replace parts for, and test/adjust mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipmentRead and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, parameter lists, fault code listings, and troubleshooting guidesPerform a variety of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, carpentry, and maintenance functions on a large variety of production equipmentSafely use various hand and power tools, multimeters, and material-handling equipmentAll other duties as assignedQualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent required3+ years of industrial maintenance experience emphasizing electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical skills requiredCompletion of Craft Apprenticeship or industrial maintenance training program strongly preferred or 3+ years of experience in electrical maintenance experiencePLC, Robotics, or other automation experience is strongly preferredOperational knowledge of automated industrial machinery which includes motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, communication devices, industrial/electronic controls, and power transmission systemsMust meet harness and SRL (self retracting lifeline) weight capacity requirements (130 lbs - 310 lbs.)Valid drivers licenseMARSHALLTOWN offers comprehensive total rewards packages to include competitive wages, matching 401k retirement plans, Dental, Traditional and High Deductible Health Plans with employer HSA contributions, and vacation eligibility, just to name a few!MARSHALLTOWN Hammer is proud to provide equal employment opportunity to individuals regardless of race, ethnicity, color, creed, religion, gender, age, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetic information, protected disability or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by state, federal or local law.
