Fleet & Equipment MechanicPay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hourSchedule: 7:30a - 4:30p Monday - Friday, with weekend or evenings as needed.A well-established local employer is seeking a skilled Fleet & Equipment Mechanic to join their team. This position is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment to ensure safe, reliable operations.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanic who enjoys troubleshooting a variety of mechanical issues and working independently in a well-equipped shop environment.ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment.Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and other system-related issues.Conduct inspections to identify maintenance needs and potential safety concerns.Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime.Maintain accurate service, repair, and inspection records.Ensure all vehicles and equipment remain in safe operating condition.Communicate maintenance recommendations and equipment status as needed.Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.QualificationsPrevious experience as a mechanic servicing fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, or related machinery.Strong understanding of automotive, diesel, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.Ability to diagnose and repair equipment independently.Experience using diagnostic and troubleshooting tools.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.Ability to manage priorities and work efficiently with minimal supervision.Valid driver's license required.Must provide and maintain personal mechanic tools.What's In It For You?You'll work on more than just cars.
