Associate Attorney

We are seeking a driven and exceptionally detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our team. This role offers early-career attorneys the opportunity to work directly on complex, high-value family law matters from day one. You will be involved in high-touch casework, including coaching clients through critical decisions, conducting in-depth financial analysis of marital estates, drafting substantive pleadings, and preparing for litigation and mediation alongside experienced senior counsel. You will be client-facing, strategically engaged, and expected to bring thoughtfulness and thoroughness to every work product. The ideal candidate must be licensed to practice law in Tennessee by November 2026. Key Responsibilities Client Advisory & Strategy Advise and coach clients on day-to-day decisions arising throughout the lifecycle of their matter Lead and participate in strategy sessions to assess case status, evaluate options, and align on next steps Serve as a trusted point of contact, providing clear and empathetic communication to clients navigating high-stakes situations Conduct detailed financial analysis related to marital estates, including asset identification, valuation support, and division modeling Perform discovery audits and manage complex discovery projects to uncover financial information relevant to client matters Organize and analyze financial documents, tax records, business interests, and other asset-related materials Legal Research & Document Drafting Draft, review, and refine pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other court filings with precision and accuracy Conduct thorough case law research and prepare legal memoranda to support case strategy Draft and negotiate prenuptial and postnuptial agreements Prepare correspondence, client summaries, and internal case documentation in accordance with firm protocols Assist in comprehensive preparation for hearings, trials, depositions, and mediations Participate in mediation, settlement negotiations, and other alternative dispute resolution processes Appear in court proceedings as appropriate for experience level Coordinate with experts, financial analysts, and other professionals engaged in client matters Qualifications Required Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Licensed to practice law in Tennessee, or on track to pass the Tennessee Bar Examination in 2026 0 to 4 years of legal experience; family law or litigation exposure strongly preferred Exceptional attention to detail; accuracy and thoroughness in all work product is non- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters and competing deadlines simultaneously Demonstrated ability to follow standard operating protocols and firm procedures consistently Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the initiative to anticipate issues before they arise Preferred Experience or coursework in family law, estate law, or finance Familiarity with financial statements, tax returns, or valuation concepts Prior exposure to high-net-worth client matters or complex civil litigation Strong courtroom presence and comfort with oral advocacy What We Offer Base salary commensurate with experience, plus performance-based bonus Hybrid work schedule with in-office collaboration Full coverage of Tennessee Bar dues and ongoing CLE requirements Paid parking at our Music Row location Competitive PTO and vacation policy Hands-on mentorship from experienced family law attorneys Direct exposure to complex, high-value matters from the outset of your career A high-performance culture that values innovation, initiative, and excellence #J-18808-Ljbffr
