Senior Accounting Analyst

Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC, a law firm of 300 attorneys in more than 30 practice and industry groups, is accepting applications for a full-time Senior Accounting Analyst in our Syracuse, NY office. Working as a member of the Accounting Team, this position provides firmwide support of accounting operations and financial reporting. This position's salary range is between $70,000 to $80,000, negotiable based on years’ experience. Position Responsibilities Post journal entries to the general ledger Maintain and manage the firm’s fixed assets, ensuring all additions, disposals, and transfers are accurately recorded Calculate and post monthly depreciation and amortization entries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Assist with month-end, year-end close, and budget season Assist Controller with external review/audit preparation Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations; including operating, payroll, and escrow Calculate special arrangement compensation spreadsheets and distribute to attorneys Analyze financial results and provide insights to management on trends, variances, and risks Assist with various ad hoc requests and special projects, as assigned Job Requirements Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years’ experience Strong analytical skills Proficient in Microsoft Suite - in particular Excel and Word Proven ability to problem solve Self‑motivated with a strong work ethic and high attention to detail Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy of data and being responsive to requests Strictly adhere to the firm’s change management and other operational policies Bond’s offer of employment are contingent on Completion of a satisfactory background check Completion of a satisfactory reference check Completion of a satisfactory conflicts check Bond, Schoeneck & King PLLC provides all employees and applicants an equal employment opportunity in the manner required by law in all aspects of employment regardless of race, color, religion, creed, national origin, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, military status, disability, predisposing genetic characteristics, domestic violence victim status or any other status protected by local, state or federal law.
