job description: 4x12-hour (07:00 - 19:00) cicu rn - 4, 12.00-hour (07:00 - 19:00) 1st timers okay 2 years experience patient age group-adults-geriatrics float required:-icu. cpu; float to pcu and very rarely float down to ms/tele but will only have 4 patients weekend shifts:- 6 weekend shifts per 6 week schedule medication system:-omnicell documentation system:-epic patient diagnoses:-cardiac diagnosis including cardio thoracic surgical patients (travelers do not take fresh open heart patients)-there are 8 beds designated as cardiac progressive (stepdown) on this unit.-nurse to patient ratios in this area are 1:3-4.-all staff rotate days on stepdown.

certifications:-acls-bcls-ccrn (preferred) requirements: must have 3s or 4s in the below skills on checklist to be a clinical pass-interpretation of dysrhythmias-management of dysrhythmias-continuous iv sedation (preferred)-procedural sedation administration (preferred)-care of ventilated patient.

unit details staffing & scheduling scheduling type : - patient ratios days : 1:1-2 patient ratios nights : same patient ratios weekends : - float required : icu. cpu; float to pcu and very rarely float down to ms/tele but will only have 4 patients call required : - weekend coverage : - number of weekend shifts per contract : - pre-approved time off : none orientation hours : - facility & patient care details patient age groups : - daily census : 15 number of visits per day : - number of rooms : - number of beds : 24 additional unit information interdisciplinary support : physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy patient diagnoses : cardiac diagnosis including cardio thoracic surgical patients (travelers do not take fresh open heart patients)there are 12 beds designated as cardiac progressive (stepdown) on this unit. this is where the travelers will be working the majority of the time.nurse to patient ratios in this area are 1:3-4. only icu nurses work in this part of the unit since it is still designated as icu. special procedures/unit details : please make sure we are all reviewing icu candidates for both the cicu and the msicu for south georgia. travelers do not take fresh hearts in the cicu and are mostly utilized on the stepdown portion of the unit. nurse to patient ratios in this area are 1:3-4 special equipment : - #tier1 travel compliance compliance document due date is the tuesday prior to start. epic experience is required, no training available and travelers will be tested during orientation. provide how recent the candidate s epic usage was and a total amount of experience they have with it. please remind your traveler, if offered, that they are coming in to help short staffed units, to fill holes, and be flexible. travel experience required for critical care travelers (pcu, stepdown, icu) no scheduling restrictions no local travelers, must live outside of 50 miles drugs/alcohol related items rn cannot be considered (ds, bgh, nursys) rto must be presented upfront or it will not be approved limited to no ot available travel pairs will be considered all unit descriptions are uploaded and can be found for majority of the job postings. all travelers will be p/f tested (study guides are provided): there are a total of 3 different exams that may be required at orientation. all travelers are given two attempts to pass. there are study guides for each exam in the facility specifics and the facility will work with the traveler if they do not pass the first attempt to ensure they will be successful on the second. they do not like to cancel travelers for not passing the exam and try to avoid it all costs. please note that the testing typically spans a 6 month period for perm employees. for travelers they cram it all into a 12 hour window and if a traveler needs to take all 3 exams it may feel like an intense process. cpu ed : ekg / med test / epic icu : ekg / med test / epic / critical care ms : med test / epic note: driver's license, social security card and georgia nursing license must all be in the same name (no exceptions will be made). these must be the original documents. no copies will be accepted. modules: modules are non-billable, 8 hours modules are completed during orientation and are not factored in orientation hours, modules may need to be completed outside of orientation depending on the self-pacing of each traveler epic training is not included in module hours, this is part of orientation guaranteed hours: contract weeks:56 client details address 2501 north patterson street state ga
