About the Role:

United Health Services, the largest and most comprehensive provider of healthcare services in upstate New York's Southern Tier, is hiring Staff Registered Nurses for our Interventional Radiology team at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. The Interventional Radiology unit is a collaborative environment. Our nurses circulate in IR rooms for both Radiologists and Neuro Interventional Radiologists and there are always 2 RNs in each room when sedation is given.

Schedule: 8 hour shifts, staggered morning starts; rotating call shifts

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Pre-procedure patient prep and post procedure patient care
• Keeping a close eye on vital signs and responding when needed
• Administering medications and providing patient education
• Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation

Qualifications:

• A valid NY RN license
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Previous tele/stepdown/ICU is a must for this role
• Previous IR experience preferred

Work is performed in an office environment and patient care areas which require working in proximity to other employees and patients.

Rooms are air conditioned and heated.

Frequent walking, standing, bending and lifting.

Fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.

Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants.

PPE (Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, and Gloves) as required by Infection Control policies

Sign-On Bonus: This unit is eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $15,000.
