Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse Duties

Delivers comprehensive and highly specialized professional nursing care to critically ill and/or acutely ill neonates and infants.

Administers a wide variety of medications in accordance with hospital safety protocols.

Manages complex clinical workflows, execute advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and operate sophisticated life-support technologies.

Acts as a preceptor, mentor, and clinical role model for new staff, nurse transition program participants, and students.

Functions as charge/relief nurse, assuming operational responsibility for promoting quality, cost-effective nursing care.

Maintains stock levels of instruments, supplies and equipment to ensure its availability.
