3rd Shift_ Machinist I_ Onsite

Location: United States – 2800 Division Ave, Plant 52, New York, USA. What You Will Do Perform machine setup and runs on surface grinders and milling machines. Read, interpret, and comprehend engineering drawings, manufacturing and quality standards, and work instructions. Monitor tooling for wear, usage, and change as needed. Monitor part‑specific dimensional tolerances while operating and identify non‑conforming features. Maintain accurate documentation and system inputs (shop traveler, labor charging, production tracking software, inspection results, etc.). Identify and report process inefficiencies, machine issues, and improvement opportunities. Follow work priorities to accomplish production goals. Handle contact with coolants, cleaning fluids, petroleum‑based oils, and chemical vapors. Obtain and maintain required inspection certifications. Perform additional responsibilities and duties as assigned. What You Will Learn Precision surface grinding and other CNC equipment operation. Cross‑functional collaboration across manufacturing processes. Experience with inspection equipment. Shift 3rd shift (Sunday – Thursday, 11:00pm – 07:00am). Qualifications HS diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline. Basic math skills, including adding and subtracting decimals. Basic computer skills with ability to learn and use multiple applications. Experience with measurement equipment (gauges, calipers, etc.). Experience with basic hand tools. Experience reading, interpreting, and following blueprints. Preferred Qualifications Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and grinders.
