Wage: $42.58 - $56.03 per hour (CGESD is currently in negotiations and this wage may be subject to change) JOB SUMMARY
The Coordinator provides programmatic coordination and implementation support across assigned service areas to advance high-quality educational services throughout the ESD region. This position plays a key role in translating program goals, state and federal initiatives, and grant requirements into effective on-the-ground practices by strengthening systems, partnerships, and service delivery models.
The Coordinator works collaboratively with districts, educators, families, community partners, industry leaders/professionals and internal ESD teams to plan, implement, monitor, and improve programs. Responsibilities include consultation, coaching, professional learning, outreach, data-informed continuous improvement, and compliance-related support. The role operates with a high degree of independence, judgment, and professionalism in a dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and evolving program requirements.
The position may require regular travel throughout the region providing support for component districts.

- Coordinate program activities, initiatives, events and projects across the assigned service area.
- Build and maintain partnerships with districts, schools, families, community organizations, industry leaders/professionals and other ESD partners.
- Provide consultation, coaching, and professional development to educators, staff, and program participants.
- Support data collection, reporting, and analysis to inform program improvement and demonstrate impact.
- Assist in the implementation of state, federal, and local initiatives, grants, and requirements.
- Facilitate collaboration among teams, districts, and community partners to align services and supports.
- Conduct outreach, site visits, and on-site support to ensure effective program delivery.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to program activities, participants, and outcomes.
- Participate, coordinate and/or lead team meetings, committees, and professional learning communities as assigned.
- Reviews and maintains accurate records in accordance with state and program guidelines as needed.
- Manages and maintains a student records database as needed.
- Manages and maintains other database programs required by activities and functions as needed.
- Assists in the development and coordination of summer enrichment activities as assigned or as needed..
- Assists in writing grant proposals, managing grants and supports grant reporting as needed.
- Serves as liaison to the Oregon Department of Education, Department of Early Learning and Care (DELC), and/or Oregon Parent Education Collaborative (OPEC), as assigned.
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of program guidelines, activities and service areas.
- Assists in the development, evaluation and selection of materials, equipment, or other products needed to provide services to schools, teachers, and/or parents.
- Maintains accurate documentation for monitoring purposes and provides reports and information in a timely manner.
- Informs supervisor and program administration about potential problems or unusual events.
- Assists in the coordination of project planning to involve families, staff, district, and school personnel, community representatives (early educators and childcare providers as examples), and others when appropriate.
- Conducts work according to federal and state laws, rules, and policies relevant to the program.
- Attends training sessions, conferences, and workshops to keep informed of current practices, programs, and legal issues.
- Promotes integrated planning and coordination across related program services to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
- Assists in developing and implementing the department or project budget.
- Serves on district, state, or community councils or committees as appropriate or assigned.
- Reports safety, sanitary and fire hazards immediately to the supervisor.
- Interacts thoughtfully and courteously with students, staff, administrators, and parents and resolves conflict in a professional manner.
- Communicates clearly with coworkers and other staff.

- Provide professional and responsive support to students, staff and families.
- Appropriately maintains and secures confidential records and inquiries.
- Represent the ESD and school positively and professionally in all interactions.
- Maintains appropriate certifications and training hours as required.
- Attends work daily as assigned and is punctual.
- Adheres to the daily schedule as assigned by the supervisor.

- Assists with logistical and administrative support activities related to program operations, meetings, training, or events, as assigned.
- Provides limited backup or coverage support to other program staff during absences, peak workload periods, or special initiatives, consistent with training and role scope.
- Participates in staff meetings, in-service training, and professional learning activities to support alignment, communication, and organizational effectiveness.
- Assists with basic troubleshooting or coordination of services for office or program equipment and supplies, as needed.
- Performs incidental support tasks that contribute to efficient program operations and positive working relationships with internal and external partners.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; OR
- One to two (1-2) years of related professional experience and/or training; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required competencies.
- Assignments in Migrant Education require five (5) years of experience supporting Migrant Education Services and bilingual in English/Spanish.
- Language: Fluent verbal and written English is required. Spanish fluency is preferred and may be required depending on department assignment.
- Correspondence: Ability to read and interpret documents (safety rules, manuals, legal documents, and journals) and write complex correspondence, reports, speeches, and articles for publication.
- Public Speaking: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from students, parents, staff, top management, boards of directors, and the general public.
- General Math: Ability to perform basic calculations (fractions, decimals, percentages) and compute rates and ratios.
- Data Visualization: Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Accounting: Ability to handle large amounts of money, perform low-level accounting functions, and accurately document financial transactions.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of standard school software, internet tools, e-mail, and word processing.
- Spreadsheets: Proficient in spreadsheet and accounting software, including the ability to create graphs and charts.
- Administrative: Ability to type accurately and proficiently.
- Problem Solving: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and interpret technical or abstract variables.
- Teamwork: Works well with others from diverse backgrounds, focuses on conflict resolution, maintains confidentiality, and contributes to a positive team spirit.
- Professionalism: Ability to exercise good judgment, keep emotions under control, and remain productive in an environment with constant interruptions.
- Licensing: Valid Driver's License.
- Background Check: Must have Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance
- Successful completion of the ESD background screening.
- Other: Any additional certificates as determined by the ESD.
