Compensation: $35.96$50.08/hour

Schedule: Full-Time, Days | Preferred 8:00 AM4:30 PM | Rotating weekend coverage

Location: Watkins Glen / Montour Falls, New York (Finger Lakes)

Overview of the Role:

An esteemed SNF and rehab provider in Watkins Glen / Montour Falls, NY seeks a full-time Speech Language Specialist (SLP) to join their team. This position involves assessing and treating patients with speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing issues in a collaborative, patient-focused environment. Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply.

Job Duties:

• Conduct speech, language, cognition, and swallowing assessments
• Create personalized treatment plans with specific objectives
• Deliver skilled therapy based on provider referrals and patient requirements
• Monitor progress and modify treatment plans as needed
• Accurately document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment strategies and safety measures
• Collaborate with providers, nurses, and rehab team members
• Supervise rehab assistants following state regulations
• Stay updated on clinical knowledge through ongoing education
• Promote top-quality, patient-centered care within the rehab program

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Speech Pathology
• NY State SLP license or eligibility for licensure
• CFs welcome Experienced CFY applicants considered (role requires significant autonomy cover acute care / SNF / OP)
• CCC-SLP preferred for experienced individuals
• Background in SNF, rehab, LTC, or post-acute care preferred
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management abilities

Physical Demands:

• Capability to assist with patient lifting and movement
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
