Field Service Technician

Akkodis, Inc. is seeking a full-time direct hire Field Service Technician for a role with a global industry leader near Atlanta, GA. The Field Service Technician will travel to customer locations to perform startup services, maintenance services, troubleshooting, and repair of power solutions products including electrical power equipment such as load banks. Qualifications include 2+ years in field service which includes load banks and the ability to travel extensively.

Salary Range: $36-38/HR including paid travel time (OT paid at 1.5x; any work on Sunday paid at 2x regular rate); salary negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors

Field Service Technician Job Responsibilities Include:

• Troubleshooting, commissioning, maintaining, or servicing power generation, electrical, or related industrial equipment.
• Working with Field Service management to ensure world-class service is provided on a timely and consistent basis
• Perform startup and routine maintenance on electrical power equipment
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures
• Perform equipment testing to confirm proper function and identify operational issues
• Provide detailed documentation of all service visits within the specified timeframe
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide guidance on potential upgrades or improvements
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures
• Collaborate with Field Service team members to relay important information and improve service delivery
• Travel up to 90%
• Willingness to work overtime and non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays, as required
• Must be available to travel on short notice

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years’ field service experience, including in load banks, power generation, and backup power, or equivalent military experience
• High School Diploma/GED
• Electrical wiring diagram and schematic knowledge
• Networking and/or electronic communication experience a plus
• Ability to interact professionally with customers and internal teams through verbal and written communication
• Team player with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Travel up to 90%, most travel will be in the Atlanta area, however, travel could be national and North and South America if the Technician holds a passport
• Willingness to work overtime and non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays, as required
• Must be available to travel on short notice
