Accountant

Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm
Pay Rate: $36.00-$44.00/hr
Location: San Jose, CA
Experience : At least 2-3 years of Accounting experience

We are excited to share a new opportunity for an Accountant located in San Jose ! This position is highly sought after and might not be available for long. 

Accountant Job Duties include:

• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Tax Compliance: Ensure the company adheres to all tax regulations and industry-specific financial standards.
• Payroll Management: Supervise accurate, timely payroll processing and support benefits administration across all companies.
• Core Accounting Operations: Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions to maintain clean, accurate financial transactions.
• Process Improvement: Identify efficiency gaps within the accounting department and implement streamlined workflows.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Partner with HR, Operations, and leadership to align financial strategies with business operations.
• Strategic Support: Provide insights on operational performance and assist with long-term financial strategy and decision-making.
• Other duties as assigned

Accountant Preferred Skills include:

• Advanced Degree: Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (MBA).
• Industry Background: Prior experience in the facilities, janitorial, or maintenance service industries.
• Language Proficiency: Bilingual fluency in both English and Spanish.
• Must have 1 year of previous work experience

Accountant Requirements may include:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of hands-on accounting experience.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and tax regulations within service-oriented or contract-based environments.
• Software Proficiency: Demonstrated experience using standard accounting platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar financial tools).
• Core Skills: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving capabilities, excellent written/verbal communication, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
• Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen 
• Must provide 3 professional references
