Installation and Service Technician – Deploy Multifamily Access Control and IP Camera Solutions Job Overview Company: Tetra Salary/Pay Rate: $22 to $30 per hour (based on experience) Location: Austin, Texas (Hybrid / 20% Travel Required within the local area.) Job/Employment Type: Full Time Project Scope: Installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of multifamily and commercial low-voltage infrastructure Mandatory Licences & Certifications: Valid Texas Security license, Valid Drivers License. The Opportunity You will serve as a vital field technician driving the deployment and reliability of our security technology solutions across expanding markets. Working closely with a collaborative team, you will directly ensure customer satisfaction while expanding your technical expertise. How You Will Make an Impact Install, configure, and service complex access control systems including card readers, door hardware, and system controllers. Terminate, route, and troubleshoot low-voltage wiring for networked surveillance systems and security infrastructure. Diagnose technical hardware failures, wiring faults, and device communication performance issues in the field. Keep detailed documentation regarding customer contact and progress on various projects. Interpret architectural wiring diagrams, blueprints, and specific technical installation documentation to execute deployments accurately. Coordinate daily with project managers, field technicians, and multifamily property managers to complete scheduled service calls. Maintain clear and accurate documentation of completed on-site installations, infrastructure repairs, and preventative maintenance activities. Required Qualifications & Experience Proven hands-on experience with low-voltage wiring practices and structural cabling installations. Solid technical understanding of access control systems and IP-based camera technology networks. Demonstrated ability to navigate and work collaboratively within a dedicated, team-oriented environment. Valid driver's license with a consistently clean driving record. Preferred Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 3 years of experience in multifamily or commercial low-voltage security environments. High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Working knowledge of core networking fundamentals, including device connectivity and IP addressing. Manufacturer low-voltage or security industry technical certifications.
