Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A long-term care pharmacy opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist in Washington, NC. This 13-week contract role offers the potential to convert to permanent based on performance. The position is Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with rotating Saturdays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accept and accurately dispense prescription medications.
• Monitor patient medication compliance and detect over-usage.
• Ensure lawful handling and supply of medicines.
• Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy files.
• Provide patient counseling on medication use, side effects, and interactions.
• Offer additional health services such as smoking cessation and blood pressure monitoring.
• Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices like glucose meters.
• Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following protocol.
• Supervise pharmacy staff, including technicians and clerks.
• Manage pharmaceutical and medical inventory.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to identify and resolve drug-related issues.

Qualifications:

• Valid North Carolina pharmacist license required.
• Experience in retail pharmacy is accepted; training provided as needed.
• Capable of managing PV1 and PV2 duties.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Rotating Saturdays
