Registered Nurse CVOR

Job Summary:
Seeking a CVOR RN for a 13-week travel assignment involving general OR cases and cardiovascular surgeries. The ideal candidate will have OR experience, with skills in circulating and scrubbing, and be prepared to support low-volume cardiac and orthopedic procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform circulating duties in the CVOR, ensuring patient safety and adherence to surgical protocols.
• Assist in cardiac and orthopedic surgeries, including robot-assisted procedures, as needed.
• Maintain sterile field and prepare surgical instruments and supplies.
• Support the surgical team during case preparation, intraoperative activities, and post-operative procedures.
• Comply with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and travel regulations.
• Complete necessary documentation and certifications prior to assignment.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid MO RN license and current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Possess at least 1 year of recent travel nursing experience in the OR.
• Demonstrate proficient circulating skills; scrubbing experience is a bonus.
• Must be able to circulate and scrub in cardiac and orthopedic cases, with robotics preferred.
• Have experience with COVID patient care and familiarity with Allscripts/Sunrise from ED is advantageous.
• Able to provide a flexible schedule and meet all compliance requirements, including drug screening.
