English Teacher/Multi-Classroom Leader ($10,000 annual stipend) An educator in the Multi‑Classroom Leader role leads a team of teachers, paraprofessionals, and teaching residents in the same grade or subject to meet standards of excellence. The team leader co‑plans, co‑teaches, models, coaches, gives feedback, and supports a tutoring culture, while also teaching students part of the time. The leader organizes data analysis and instructional changes to ensure high‑growth learning for every child, with a focus on small‑group teaching and tutoring. Responsibilities Set high expectations of achievement for all students taught by the team. Develop instructional tools, materials, and methods for use across all classrooms. Plan backward to align lessons, activities, and assessments with a high‑standards curriculum. Design and lead enriched, personalized instruction, prioritizing small‑group teaching and tutoring. Create assessments that accurately measure student growth. Lead the team in holding students accountable for behavior and academic achievement. Create classroom environments conducive to collaborative and individual learning, and a culture of respect, enthusiasm, and rapport. Maximize student learning through small‑group teaching, tutoring, and individualized interventions. Identify and address students’ social, emotional, behavioral, and organizational needs. Incorporate questioning, discussion, and varied instructional techniques. Analyze student assessment data to inform instruction and tutoring. Communicate with students and keep them informed of progress. Solicit and act on feedback to improve professional skills. Maintain regular communication with families and collaborate on home‑school plans. Organize team time to align instructional vision and prioritize tutoring. Allocate instructional tasks, grading, and administrative duties based on team strengths. Model instructional tasks, clarify roles, and provide developmental feedback. Participate in professional development opportunities at the school. Qualifications Knowledge of subject matter being taught. Bachelor’s degree. Valid teaching certificate. Prior evidence of high‑growth student learning (≥1.1 average growth in EVAAS over the last three years). Experience successfully leading a team of adults to accomplish goals (formal or informal). Demonstrated interpersonal and group effectiveness with adults and students. Hours Full‑time position. One hour‑long virtual meeting each month after school hours (4‑5 PM). Professional development and other work possible during summer 2026. Built‑in additional or consolidated planning and collaboration times to complete administrative tasks, analyze data, plan instruction, and manage the team. Pay NC Teacher Salary Schedule plus a stipend (approx. $10,000). Performance is evaluated annually for contract renewal. Reports to: Principal/Curriculum Director. Time commitment for new hires may include pre‑ and post‑school year planning days. Position Type : Full‑time. Job Requirements At least five years of relevant experience preferred.
