Position Summary

The Grocery Retail Associate serves as the face of our store by providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with purchases, operating the cash register, stocking merchandise, and maintaining a clean and organized shopping environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced retail setting and takes pride in creating a positive customer experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service

• Assist customers in locating products and answering questions

• Operate cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately

• Process cash, credit card, and electronic payment transactions

• Promote current sales, specials, and featured products

• Assist with merchandising, product displays, and shelf stocking

• Rotate inventory and maintain organized product presentation

• Keep sales floor, checkout areas, and stockroom clean and organized

• Answer customer phone calls and provide accurate information

• Support inventory management and restocking efforts

• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store goals

• Help create a positive shopping experience for every customer

Qualifications

• Previous retail, grocery, cashier, customer service, or sales experience is preferred but not required

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment

• Comfortable operating a cash register and POS system

• Basic math and cash-handling skills

• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented

• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Willingness to learn and grow within the company

• Must have a driver's license

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 40 pounds

• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and stock merchandise as needed

Schedule

• Full-Time
