Powder Coat Laborer
Bring precision, pride, and color to every part! Location: Mentor, OH Shift: Monday - Thursday, 6 am-4:30 pm Pay: $17-$20/hour DOE
Do you take pride in producing high-quality finishes? We're looking for a Powder Coating Laborer who enjoys hands-on work, pays attention to detail, and wants to be part of a team that values quality, safety, and craftsmanship.
What You'll Do
- Pretreat, clean, mask, prime, and powder coat a variety of parts
- Load and hang parts correctly to maximize line capacity
- Apply powder using an electrostatic paint gun
- Perform quality checks, including first-piece, in-process, and final inspections
- Change hanging patterns and manage color changeovers
- Plug, tape, sand, and correct parts as needed
- Use measuring tools to ensure precision and consistency
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment
- Follow all safety policies and OSHA standards Lifting, bending, and moving around throughout your shift
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ year of powder coating or related manufacturing experience (or equivalent combination of training and education)
- Knowledge of powder coating processes and paint line functionality preferred
- Ability to read basic blueprints and specifications
- Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills
- Experience managing or tracking inventory is a plus
- Basic computer skills
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to multitask
- Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
- Heavy Labor - Must be able to lift 35-40lbs
