Construction Project Manager (Commercial / Multifamily / Residential) About the Opportunity We’re partnered with a well-established general contractor in the DMV area seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys client interaction, and can manage multiple projects while keeping everything on schedule and within budget. Projects may include commercial, multifamily, mixed-use, or high-end residential construction . Key Responsibilities
- Manage full project lifecycle from preconstruction through closeout
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts
- Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, and clients
- Lead subcontractor buyout and contract negotiations
- Review drawings, specifications, and ensure project alignment
- Track costs, change orders, and overall financial performance
- Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards
- 5+ years of construction experience (Project Engineer → PM level)
- Experience managing ground-up or large-scale renovation projects
- Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, and cost control
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency with construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Someone who can own projects from start to finish
- Strong financial and operational awareness
- Ability to build relationships with clients and subcontractors
- Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
