Description The Frozen Buyer is responsible for leading the purchasing, inventory management, and merchandising of the Frozen Foods department at Plum Market. This role ensures the frozen aisle, freezers, case stacks, and related displays are consistently full, organized, and aligned with Customer expectations. The Frozen Buyer is accountable for meeting sales goals, purchase budgets, and margin targets while maintaining pricing accuracy, rotation, and shrink control. They support a seamless Customer experience through excellent service, consistent communication, and strong product knowledge. Who you are You model and deliver exceptional Customer Service. What you will bring 6+ months experience in retail grocery, buying, or a related field. Strong knowledge of frozen, dairy, and dry grocery categories. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Apps and the ability to adapt and learn new software solutions. Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to stand and walk for up to 4 hours without a break – we work on the floor and alongside our team. Ability to bend, stoop, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, and push/pull carts up to 100 lbs. unassisted. What you will do Purchase and maintain inventory for the Frozen Foods department, ensuring optimal stock levels and proper rotation. Monitor sales performance and adjust orders to support sales goals and margin targets. Manage pricing accuracy, product signage, and merchandising for all frozen sections. Execute promotional plans, seasonal resets, and product launches with consistency and accuracy. Maintain current and accurate order guides, purchase logs, and vendor records. Work closely with vendors to coordinate deliveries, resolve issues, and support in-store promotions. Communicate product knowledge and updates to Team Members and Leadership. Fulfill Customer special orders and respond to requests with professionalism. Follow all health, sanitation, and food safety procedures.
