Beef Prep Worker 

Position Title: Beef Prep Worker

Category: Non-Exempt

Department: RAW

Position summary:  

Cut, trim, or prepare consumer-sized portions of meat for use or sale in retail establishments.

Tasks: 

1. Trim beef, and prepare meat in cooking form. This includes tenderizing meat through injectors and tumblers.  
2. Prepare and place meat cuts in oven racks.
3. Unbox, inspect, weigh, and process meat.
4. Ensure meat quality.
5. *Other duties may be assigned* 

Skills: 

1. Monitoring - Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
2. Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Safety First! 

Attributes: 

1. Manual Dexterity - The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
2. Problem Sensitivity - The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
3. Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).

Experience And Education:  

High School Diploma - or the equivalent (for example, GED); Up to and including 1 month.

Physical Requirements:  

1. Able to lift 10-60 lbs
