Job Description As a Benefit Advisor, you will have the rewarding opportunity to speak with Medicare‑eligible participants nationwide. This consultative sales role requires you to assist them in offering, selecting, and enrolling participants into various insurance plans that meet their needs. Your day will be spent on phone (inbound or outbound) conversations with participants, exercising patience, establishing rapport, building confidence, showcasing your knowledge, and ultimately providing peace of mind. At the beginning of the season you earn a base rate of $21.00/hr. with significant incentive earning potential during the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (Oct‑Dec). Most Benefit Advisors earn between $500–$1,000 in monthly bonuses & incentives, with top performers earning $2,000+. Key Responsibilities Successfully complete all required certifications to represent state‑specific and national insurance carriers. Support early outreach efforts to new members by making outbound calls to introduce WTW, collect and verify member information, and set appointments for AEP. Spend approximately 80% of your shift during AEP (Oct‑Dec) engaging in phone conversations, consistently meeting or exceeding efficiency, quality, and sales performance standards. Use a consultative sales approach to listen to and assess each Medicare‑eligible participant’s needs. Conduct eligibility and needs analysis to determine suitable plan options. Clearly explain the costs and benefits of multiple insurance plans using an empathetic and professional communication style, making recommendations based on participants’ individual needs. Maintain professionalism and patience with each caller, handling scheduled appointments and first‑time callers alike. Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, diverse call‑center environment. Adhere to all legal regulations. Requirements Active Resident State Life and Health Insurance license is required. Capability to understand and comply with all agent appointment and carrier certification requirements necessary to represent carriers. Experience in a needs‑based sales role preferred. Experience using Microsoft Office and the ability to multitask between multiple screens while answering phone calls. Ability to learn new proprietary computer systems. Ability to work autonomously in a self‑paced, self‑motivated team environment. Strong communication skills, ability to read, analyze, and interpret insurance documents and related materials. High School Diploma or GED required. During the Enrollment Season (Oct‑Dec), mandatory overtime may be required. Other duties as assigned. Compensation & Benefits Base pay of $21.00/hr with potential for $500–$1,000 monthly bonuses during the AEP. Top performers may earn over $2,000 in bonuses.
