Travel Respiratory Therapist - Registered RT/RRT

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift position at a teaching hospital requiring 2+ years of critical care experience and an active Ohio RRT license.

Job Details

• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:30 AM), 36 hours per week,
• Weekend shifts required,
• Floating between campuses may be required,
• Works in adult critical care and emergency department settings,
• Performs ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, and weaning from mechanical ventilation,
• Administers a range of respiratory medications and treatments including nebulizer therapy and inhaled steroids,
• Performs airway management including extubation, suctioning, and tracheostomy care,
• Utilizes high flow nasal cannula and trach collar oxygen therapy,

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required,
• RRT credential required,
• BLS certification required,
• Active Ohio state license required and must be in hand at time of consideration (pending not accepted) - license required if applicable,
• High school diploma or official transcripts required,
• College diploma/transcripts from ACEN or CCNE accredited program required,
• Ability to interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs),
• Skilled in airway management, suctioning, and tracheostomy care,

• First-time travelers will be considered for this role,
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate,
• Former employees eligible for travel assignment after 6+ months away from the facility,
• Current employees are not eligible for travel positions at this facility,
• Requires 2 professional references, with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor; charge RN accepted as second reference; coworker references not accepted,
• Requested time off must be submitted with application and built into the contract,
• Ohio fingerprinting must be completed urgently upon signing contract due to compliance deadlines
