Mechanical Assembler (Air Brake Valve Builder)Multi-Service Supply, a division of The Buncher Company, is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join our Air Brake Shop team. Our facility is located in Leetsdale, PA (about 20 minutes outside of downtown Pittsburgh). While we do not currently have an open position, we are building our talent pipeline and encourage candidates with mechanical aptitude or relevant experience to apply for future opportunities.Mechanical Assembler Key ResponsibilitiesDisassemble and clean brake valves and components used on locomotives and freight carsInspect parts for wear or damage and replace as neededReassemble valves using new components and torque to AAR specificationsMark completed valves and prepare them for testingMonitor inventory levels for replacement parts and kitsFollow shop safety procedures and perform other duties as assignedMechanical Assembler QualificationsMechanical aptitude or relevant mechanical experienceAbility to follow written instructions and perform basic mathExperience using hand tools and measuring devices preferredStrong attention to detail and qualityMechanical Assembler Work EnvironmentShop environment with exposure to noise, dust, and temperature changes.
