Safran is one of the few OEMs offering a comprehensive range of passenger seats, from economy to first class, allowing you to take pride in creating impressive seating options for various needs.Main Function Responsibilities:Manage the technical development of a product from conception to productionUtilize core tools such as PFMEA, DFMA, control plans, etc.Collaborate with engineering, operations, tooling and other departments to resolve issues and improve processesReview and approve or reject engineering drawings in accordance with internal DFM guidelines and requirementsCreate and maintain detailed work instructionsEnsure design and process are sufficient to produce the quality of product required by internal and external standardsSupport production areas, fabrication and final assembly, when new product is being launched to quickly address and correct issues that may ariseRecommend changes to designs, tolerances, or processing methods to resolve production issuesDesign and develop the process as necessary to produce the product at the volume and quality requiredAttend design reviews and provide relevant feedback for manufacturabilitySupport engineering as necessary through development phase (collaboration, drawing review, etc.)For DEV process, Industrialization Leader is responsible for:Contributing to and participating in PBS reviewsPreparing and presenting Industrialization Reviews to Program Industrial ManagerQualification Requirements:A. Education & Qualification:B.S degree in a related technical field (e.g.: Industrial Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer/Technology, Aeronautics Engineer, or Electrical Engineer) or an Associate degree with 6 years related experience or 12 years of job related experienceB. Work Experience:Three years of manufacturing experience preferred but not requiredCatia or design modeling a plusSix Sigma or lean certification preferred.C. Professional Skills:Must have basic knowledge of production methods, process capabilities, tooling processes, and manufacturing processesMust be capable of preparing well-written reports and orderly reportsMust have basic knowledge of manufacturing and related operations with detailed knowledge of such fields as product design, engineering function, tool design, tool fabrication, ergonomics and EHS, space layout, handling equipment, production machinery and equipment, N/C machinery and equipment, factory methods work, etc…Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing principles preferredStrong knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and Operating SystemsMust have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment.Ability to read and review written communication.Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.D. Behavioral Skills:Able to work collaboratively with cross functional teams and engage in healthy debate.Able to maintain an organized workspace and calendar to keep up with all active assignments.Able to approach problems both analytically and creatively to find solutions.E.
