Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a dedicated Internal Medicine Physician (MD) to join our Dumfries Ambulatory Care Center. The physician will provide comprehensive internal medicine services within an open access/medical home care model, collaborating with a multidisciplinary patient care team to ensure high-quality care. Essential functions include delivering preventative, acute, and chronic care for patients assigned to your panel, conducting general medical examinations for routine, acute, and chronic conditions across all organ systems, promoting preventive health and maintenance care, documenting all outpatient and inpatient encounters accurately in the EMR system, diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with complex conditions, prescribing medications per protocols, ordering, evaluating, and interpreting radiology and laboratory tests, providing prescription renewals and telephonic consultative services, mentoring and providing guidance to other healthcare providers, participating in professional development, staff meetings, in-service training, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited U.S. or Canadian medical school; completion of accredited post-graduate medical training (internship and residency) in Internal Medicine; board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine; current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands; current unrestricted DEA certificate; minimum of one year of experience within the last three years as a Family Practice or Internal Medicine physician; current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications; proficiency in English, both written and spoken; and knowledge of computer operations and proficiency in word processing, data entry, and electronic medical records.
