Job Description
The PSK Cook prepares high-quality Southern dishes with consistency, speed, and pride. This role is responsible for maintaining kitchen standards, following recipes, and ensuring every plate reflects the authentic Mississippi flavor Paradise Southern Kitchen is known for.
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
- Food Preparation — Prep meats, vegetables, sides, and ingredients daily
- Cooking & Frying — Operate grills, fryers, ovens, and stovetops safely
- Recipe Accuracy — Follow PSK recipes and portion standards
- Kitchen Cleanliness — Maintain a clean workstation, sanitize surfaces, follow health codes
- Food Safety — Proper storage, temperature checks, and safe handling
- Order Timing — Coordinate with cashiers and packaging staff to ensure timely orders
- Inventory Awareness — Notify management when ingredients run low
Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast kitchen
- Basic cooking knowledge
- Understanding of food safety
- Ability to lift 25–40 lbs
- Reliable and punctual
- Team-oriented
