Documents appropriately. Evaluates effectiveness of plan and modifies as indicated, following consulting the Occupational Therapist Demonstrates good interpersonal skills when interacting with families, physicians, patients and others involved in a patient's care to promote an environment of cooperation and respect. Provides appropriate information at meetings such as team and family conferences, home health conferences, clinic meetings and others as necessary Maintains current knowledge of therapy techniques appropriate to the patients at Gottsche Performance & Longevity Center through the attendance of in-service classes and the appropriate amount of continuing education as required by state licensure. Assists in appropriate treatments or portions thereof, assesses the accuracy, thoroughness and appropriateness of the care they provide and then provide feedback to the Clinical Manager Seeks necessary information and input from staff, physicians and other health care professionals to ensure ongoing appropriate patient care. Has knowledge in the use of therapy devices including exercise tables, fitness equipment, assistive devices, wheelchairs, pulleys, weights and other equipment common to the practice of occupational therapy Demonstrates an awareness of safety in all aspects of patient care. Performs other duties related to the position as needed. Job duties subject to change as the department evolves and changes.
