Job Description

As a Security Guard Patrol Agent in Mason City, IA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Our Unarmed Patrol Officers at a busy food and beverage location conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout production areas, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and perimeter access points, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify visitor and/or contractor credentials as directed by site policies, and report policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Support access control and traffic flow at gates and designated checkpoints, providing clear directions and assistance while following post orders and established security-related protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
