Systems Engineer

Job Overview Position: Senior Systems Engineer – Combat Identification of Friend and Foe (IFF) SolutionsLocation: Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland – Onsite, U.S. Citizen required, DoD Secret clearance required. Key Responsibilities Lead system architecture development, CONOPS, trade studies and requirements analysis for IFF solutions in airborne and ground applications. Develop system design and flow down to hardware/software configuration items. Collaborate with Integrated Program Team (IPT) within a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environment to create and refine system requirements. Analyze and document system behaviors to meet emerging needs using MBSE tools and principles. Provide functional guidance to less experienced engineers and supervise technicians and clerical assistants. Drive technical integrity and ensure program execution to plan. Required Qualifications Minimum six years of systems engineering experience in requirements analysis, performance analysis and MBSE. Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM). Proficiency with SysML fundamentals. Experience interacting with multidisciplinary teams: electrical, mechanical, software, test, logistics and systems engineers. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret clearance. Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. Leadership, team building and motivational abilities. Preferred Qualifications OMG‑Certified Systems Modeling Professional or equivalent. Experience with MBSE tools such as DOORS NextGen, Cameo Enterprise Architect or Rational Rhapsody. Experience designing military equipment and executing disciplined engineering processes (scope, earned value, risk management). Knowledge of DSP theory or MATLAB modeling. Benefits & Compensation Salary range: $86,800 to $165,200.
