Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments by utilizing evidence-based methodologies, which include developing individualized treatment plans that cater to each client's unique circumstances and goals.
  • Implement a range of therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). You’ll guide clients through structured sessions aimed at building resilience and coping strategies.
  • Maintain meticulous clinical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and all regulatory standards while demonstrating a commitment to professional ethics and client confidentiality.
  • Collaboration is key; engage with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and psychologists to enhance treatment plans and client outcomes through shared expertise.
  • Regularly participate in case consultations and peer review meetings to foster professional development and continuously improve the quality of care.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment modalities, and community resources, equipping them to navigate challenges effectively.
  • Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in the mental health field to ensure you integrate new findings into your therapeutic approach.
Patient Population / Client Focus

At our center, you will serve a diverse clientele facing a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and other emotional challenges. This role emphasizes the importance of fostering trust and understanding in order to tailor therapeutic interventions that resonate with each individual's experience, facilitating a positive therapeutic journey.

Qualifications
  • A master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution, showcasing your commitment to the field.
  • An active license to practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or psychologist in the state of New York.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying solution-focused psychotherapy interventions, showcasing your ability to tailor treatments effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, crucial for establishing therapeutic rapport with clients and their families.
