Internship Opportunity
Structured student internship closer to a student development programme than a modelling-heavy role because the ad emphasizes broad summer opportunities rather than ownership of a defined actuarial model.
P&C actuarial internship in Syracuse, New York, supporting pricing and rating work across personal and commercial insurance lines. This is an in-person summer program for college sophomores or juniors, with Excel and menu-driven software experience preferred. The ad does not specify actuarial exam requirements or study support.
Must have:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Completion of Sophomore or Junior year by June 2022 majoring in Accounting, Mathematics, or Business
Strongly preferred:
- Strong analytical and technical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to use menu-driven software in addition to Word and Excel
- Ability to work independently
- Good organizational and research skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently with team members
- Committed to providing excellent customer service
Nice to have:
- GPA of 3.0 overall or 3.5 in major
