Procurement Buyer IIOur Client, a Business Maunufacturing and Supply company, is looking for a Procurement Buyer II for their Wilmington, NC location.Responsibilities:Inventory PurchasingManage selected inventory items in support of Production needsAnalysis Replenishment for commodity/ special ordering and buysReview order confirmation and change ordersCheck order issues and expedites for inventory items assignedManage PO closure reports for change/resolutionOngoing supply management for items - ROP/MaxFollow-up on information requests for vendors and purchasing partsInventory value - Level and PhilosophyManage selected inventory items assigned to support production and control costs on inventory for the entire part life cycle from new parts to obsolescence.Vendor ManagementSupport and align parts to corporate contract suppliersEnter new supplier data along with banking changes in corporate systemInvestigate supplier invoice issuesAccounting InteractionFollow accounting requirements and direction for inventory itemsInvestigation standard cost, item codes, capital spares, transaction issues, account issues, etc. as neededProcessing inventory items credits and issuesCompile monthly purchase order report follow-up per audit requirementsResolve Received not Billed part issues with suppliersRequirements:Prefer a bachelor's or associate degree or equivalent work experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or Technical3+ years of demonstrated success in Supply Chain functions in areas such as Storeroom, Procurement, Planning, or customer care functions.Strong team skills; ability to function effectively as a contributing team memberSelf-starter, reliable and resourceful; willing to take on tasks for self-improvement and/or alleviate workloads in other areasExperience with PeopleSoft/SAPExperience with analytical tools (Proficient Excel preferred, etc....)Effective task prioritization with ability to multi-taskConflict Management / Problem SolvingHighest level of interpersonal skills: tact, patience, flexibility and courtesyEstablishes and maintains effective relationships with all levels and gains trust and respectMaintain composure and quality work during variations of work schedule, priorities and under tight deadlinesKnowledge of how to handle proprietary drawings/partsKnowledge of fundamental inventory control proceduresAbility to work as team member and / or leader.
