Psychiatric Care ProviderIn this role you will:Prescribe and administer primary psychiatric care to patients including completing assessments, prescribing medications, and providing patient/family education.Serve in a leadership capacity on treatment teams and takes an active role in providing appropriate clinical direction in the development of individual treatment plans.Gather and maintain patient information and records, including social or medical history obtained from patients, relatives, or other professionals.Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, or other professionals to discuss treatment plans and progress.Analyze and evaluate patient data or test findings to diagnose nature or extent of mental disorder.Complete continuing educational opportunities to improve the field of medicine and comply with the medical-professional staff bylaws, rules and regulations.Serve on selected standing hospital committees and demonstrates active participation, providing input within areas of competence.
