Position: Surgical Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Surgical Technician to join our team for Day Shift-Rotating Call (8-hour shifts). Under the guidance of the Registered Nurse, the Surgical Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring patient care and safety during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare the operating room in collaboration with nursing staff for surgical procedures in a timely and organized manner.
Adhere to the principles of asepsis.
Clean, disinfect, and sterilize all equipment in the Operating Room and Endoscopic Lab.
Coordinate patient care with the RN Circulator.
Stock and replace surgical items, and maintain CS inventory sheets.
Maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures.
Assist the physician during surgeries by organizing and providing necessary instrumentation.
Follow verbal physician orders accurately within the operating suite.
Handle and manage surgical specimens appropriately.
Compile necessary equipment on the surgical field efficiently.
Timely document unusual occurrences and other required departmental forms.
Perform CPR as needed.
Proficiently use all applicable instruments and equipment.
Clean and wrap instruments for sterilization.
Transport patients to and from the operating room.
Monitor surgical equipment, ensuring maintenance and repairs are addressed.
Fulfill duties as a technical scrub in the operating room.
Prepare the room and equipment for Endoscopy procedures.
Maintain a cooperative and professional demeanor within the operating room.
Execute additional tasks as required.
