Operating Room Nurse Position

Baylor Scott & White Temple is seeking an Operating Room Nurse. This fulltime position requires 2 years of OR nurse experience and involves 12-hour shifts with hours to be determined. Our team trains in 13 specialties including robotics, ortho, spine, neuro, cv, general/bariatrics, gyn, plastics, surgical oncology, urology, ENT, and transplant. We perform a variety of open, laparoscopic, and robotic procedures across multiple service lines, including laser and microscope procedures.

We have 33 operating rooms, 3 hybrid rooms for neurovascular and vascular procedures, and utilize 4 Davinci robots, 2 Mako robots, and 1 Ion. Teamwork and collaboration among nursing staff, surgeons, residents, and anesthesia providers are emphasized. We provide exceptional care to patients and are part of life-changing surgeries. Our team environment fosters a great surgical experience for our patients.

Job Summary: The Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) coordinates patient care delivery using the BSWH nursing professional practice model. The RN assesses patients, develops and implements individualized care plans, and ensures safe patient transitions. The RN delegates interventions based on patient condition and employee competencies.

Qualifications:

• Education: Grad of an Accredited RN Program.
• Experience: 2 Years of OR Nurse Experience Required.
• Certification/License/Registration: Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
