DPI Staffing is seeking a reliable Industrial Sewing Operator for a temp-to-hire opportunity with our client in Portland, OR near Swan Island!

Location: Portland, OR (Swan Island area)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM (8-hour shift plus lunch)
Pay: $18.00/hr

Key Responsibilities
• Operate industrial sewing machines to assemble and finish products to specification
• Read work orders and follow patterns, measurements, and material specs accurately
• Cut, prepare, and stage materials for sewing
• Inspect finished work for quality and consistency
• Use hand tools as needed to complete assigned tasks
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Wear required PPE (eye and ear protection provided) at all times
Requirements
• Prior industrial sewing or garment/tailoring experience preferred; on-the-job training available
• Solid work history with consistent tenure
• Punctual and reliable attendance in a fast-paced production environment
• Comfortable standing and performing repetitive tasks for the duration of a shift
• Reliable transportation is helpful, as public transit service to this location is limited
• Must be able to pass a drug screening (THC excluded), background check, and MVR check
