Industrial Sewing Operator

DPI Staffing is seeking a reliable Industrial Sewing Operator for a temp-to-hire opportunity with our client in Portland, OR near Swan Island!
APPLY TODAY! Location: Portland, OR (Swan Island area)Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM (8-hour shift plus lunch)
Pay: $18.00/ hr Key Responsibilities
- Operate industrial sewing machines to assemble and finish products to specification
- Read work orders and follow patterns, measurements, and material specs accurately
- Cut, prepare, and stage materials for sewing
- Inspect finished work for quality and consistency
- Use hand tools as needed to complete assigned tasks
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Wear required PPE (eye and ear protection provided) at all times
- Prior industrial sewing or garment/tailoring experience preferred; on-the-job training available
- Solid work history with consistent tenure
- Punctual and reliable attendance in a fast-paced production environment
- Comfortable standing and performing repetitive tasks for the duration of a shift
- Reliable transportation is helpful, as public transit service to this location is limited
- Must be able to pass a drug screening (THC excluded), background check, and MVR check
