Details Outpatient Physical Therapy setting within an acute care hospital 13-week assignment with day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Some Saturday shifts required No on-call requirements Uses Epic for charting Requirements Minimum 1 year of recent Physical Therapy experience required BLS certification required Active AK PT License required if applicable, compact license accepted Epic charting experience required Experience with orthopedic conditions including cervicalgia, low back pain, post-op cervical/shoulder/spinal surgery, and total hip/knee replacement Experience with neurologic conditions including cognitive disorders, MS, Parkinson's disease, post-stroke rehab, spinal cord injury, and TBI Skilled in home exercise programs and patient/family education Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting Additional Information Facility is a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma acute care hospital recognized as a USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska Scrubs provided by facility Parking is free Open to first-time travelers Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Local candidates may be accepted at a lower bill rate Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler Time off requests must be submitted upfront and are approved on an individual basis upon offer Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location American Traveler Job ID P-747996.
