Key Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, directing diagnostic tests, and developing tailored care strategies
• Diagnosing and treating various acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses in liaison with physicians or independently as permitted
• Educating patients and their families on prevention strategies, wellness, and managing diseases
• Prescribing medications and therapies in alignment with your scope
• Participating in patient follow-ups and managing chronic care
• Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
• Documenting all findings and treatments in electronic medical records (EMR) with precision

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner educational program

Mandatory Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license for the state of Louisiana
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or readiness to obtain within 90 days)
