Job Description

The Registered Nurse Emergency Department provides comprehensive emergency care for a mixed adult and pediatric patient population within dedicated units. Reporting to the Emergency Department Nurse Manager, this role supports Level I or II trauma services and general emergency care through rapid assessment, timely interventions, and coordinated patient-centered treatment.

Multiple Day and Night Contracts Available

Fast Facility Onboarding

13 Week Contract with the option to extend

Day - 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)

Night - 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Weekends - Required

Ratio: 1:4

 

Responsibilities

• Perform emergency triage and comprehensive patient assessments.
• Administer medications safely and accurately.
• Provide emergency interventions and trauma response.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes promptly.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in electronic health records.
• Provide discharge education to patients and families.
• Collaborate with the emergency department team to coordinate care.

 

Qualifications

• Two or more years of emergency nursing experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification.
• Management of Assaultive Behavior certification.
• Experience with emergency nursing, cardiac monitoring, medication administration, and trauma nursing.
• Proficiency with electronic health records.
• Strong critical-thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
