Interior Design Assistant

Position Overview: We’re seeking a motivated Design Assistant to support our design team through both technical documentation and day-to-day project coordination. You’ll play a key role in keeping projects on track—managing samples, vendor communication, and technical documentation while learning the foundations of design execution in a boutique, hands-on environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist with AutoCAD drawings including floor plans, elevations, and basic details. Make drawing revisions based on redlines and team feedback. Support preparation of drawing sets for internal review, client presentations, and vendor pricing. Assist designers with material sourcing, sample organization, and vendor outreach. Track purchase orders, deliveries, and project schedules to ensure smooth execution. Prepare and organize client presentations and documentation. Maintain the materials library and project archives. Support on-site installations, photoshoots, and client meetings. Liaise with showrooms, fabricators, and contractors to gather and track information. Provide general administrative and project support to the design team. Qualifications: 1–3 years of experience in a design or project coordination role required. Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Fine Arts, or related field. Strong experience in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketchup, and InDesign Knowledge of design process - FF&E, specifications, finish, and material selections Strong organizational and communication skills. Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic studio environment. Proficiency in Cloud Based Systems such as OneDrive and Dropbox.
