PSC Phlebotomist

Job Overview Phlebotomist position at LabCorp in Foley, AL. Work Schedule Tuesday–Friday 6:30-10:30 am at the Foley Patient Service Center; Saturday 8:00-12:00 pm at Fairhope Patient Service Center. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments as necessary. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Work in a Patient Service Center or a client office. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completion of an accredited training program, or at least 3 months of experience as a phlebotomist. In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency. Preferred Qualifications One year or more of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
