Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 3 years License: RN License Certifications: ACLS or ALS-OB, NRP, EFM, BLS Must-Have Skills/Experience: Fetal Monitoring and Assessment Emergency Response Postpartum Care Time Management Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery. The unit consists of 9 beds with a patient ratio of 1:1. The patient population primarily includes adults. Key equipment includes EHR systems. Responsibilities will involve assessment and monitoring of fetal health. Emergency response skills are essential due to the nature of the specialty. Postpartum care experience is required. Time management skills are crucial for the role. Candidates should have experience with normal spontaneous labor and preterm labor. Knowledge of gestational hypertension, preeclampsia, placenta previa, and placental abruption is preferred. Familiarity with fetal distress and umbilical cord prolapse is necessary. Understanding of postpartum hemorrhage management is also required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability and teamwork. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and stamina are essential traits. Empathy is also a critical component of this role. Scrub color for the position is ceil blue. Non-compliant scrub colors, slogans, graphics, or offensive content are not allowed. Inappropriate footwear is not permitted.
