Work Environment

Located in the picturesque town of Carmel, NY, our rehabilitation facility provides an inviting and fully-equipped environment for both patients and staff. The practice operates from Monday to Friday, with working hours set from 9 am to 5 pm, providing a structured and predictable schedule for our staff members.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients' needs by thoroughly evaluating their medical history and physical condition, ensuring individualized care.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities geared towards enhancing the patients' movement and mobility.
• Manage a patient load that averages one patient per hour, allowing for detailed assessment and treatment tailored to each individual.
• Conduct hands-on physical therapy sessions, employing manual therapy techniques and exercise-based interventions.
• Educate patients on the importance of a healthy lifestyle, incorporating fitness and wellness strategies into their daily routines.
• Monitor treatment outcomes, documenting patient progress effectively in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, such as WebPT.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive care strategies that align with each patient's needs.
• Provide motivational support to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, encouraging adherence to treatment plans and promoting their overall well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient demographic primarily consists of individuals covered by private medical insurance, providing an opportunity to work with a diverse range of orthopedic cases. You will encounter patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, and various musculoskeletal disorders. The focus will be on their functional recovery, pain management, and enhancing their physical capabilities.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is essential for this role, ensuring a high level of clinical expertise.
• Must hold a valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of New York, free from any board actions or disciplinary issues.
• Proficient manual therapy skills and experience in developing exercise routines that accelerate recovery are necessary.
• Ability to efficiently utilize EMR software like WebPT for documenting patient care and tracking progress.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
