Position Overview

The BOH Shift Manager leads kitchen operations during assigned shifts and is responsible for food quality, safety compliance, speed of service, and team performance. You will set the tone for kitchen culture, maintain high standards, and develop future leaders while delivering consistent operational results.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop kitchen team members
• Oversee daily back of house operations
• Manage food preparation
• Manage Production and systems
• Monitor labor productivity
• Execute opening, shift change and closing procedures
• Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness and sanitation
• Monitor product quality and food handling procedures
• Monitor food cost and identify opportunities

Qualifications

• One to three years of leadership or management experience preferred
• Restaurant or hospitality experience strongly preferred
• Proven ability to lead teams in fast paced, high volume environments
• Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen operations
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilitiesAge 18 or older
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work Saturdays required Sundays off
• Ability to work a variety of shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends
• High school diploma or equivalent required: college degree preferred

• Consistently meet or exceed speed of service and quality benchmarks
• Maintain strong food safety audit scores
• Develop team members who are promotable and cross trained
• Drive measurable improvements in food cost and waste control
• Maintain a highly engaged and accountable kitchen team
