About the Role:
Newtown Bagel Co is looking for an energetic and passionate Restaurant Manager / Shift Lead to join our team in Newtown, PA! Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure smooth, efficient shift performance
- Lead, motivate, and supervise front-of-house and back-of-house team members
- Maintain high standards of food quality, freshness, and presentation
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback with professionalism and care
- Manage opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and end-of-shift reporting
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate restocking as needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health code regulations
- Train and onboard new team members to uphold Newtown Bagel Co standards
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in restaurant management, shift leadership, or a supervisory role
- Strong leadership and team-building skills in a fast-paced food service environment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Experience with cash handling, POS systems, and basic reporting
- Knowledge of food safety standards and ServSafe certification (preferred)
- Ability to work early morning, weekend, and holiday shifts as needed
- Reliable, punctual, and able to lead by example on the floor
