The Medical Surgical/Acute Care Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering and coordinating patient care. This role involves collaborating with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to provide both physical and emotional support to patients and their families. Daily tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting assessments and reassessments.

• Creating personalized care plans.

• Administering medications and maintaining accurate documentation.

• Educating patients and their families.

• Ensuring proper maintenance of medical equipment.

• Communicating patient needs effectively.

• Conduct patient rounds to enhance satisfaction and uphold quality standards.

• Exhibit knowledge of human growth and development, assessment techniques, treatment options, and care tailored to the age groups served.

• Encourage customer service initiatives.

• Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care that meets patient needs.

• Demonstrate proficiency in performing technical skills and procedures.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in medical/surgical nursing.

• Graduation from an accredited School of Professional Nursing.

• Current licensure from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or an equivalent board.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• Commitment to pursue and complete Med-Surg certification within one year of hire.
