Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with DaVinci robotics and vascular case proficiency for a 13-week travel assignment in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Operating Room unit within a regional hospital setting

Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours/week

On-call requirements of 1 night per week and up to 1 weekend per month

Holiday rotation required, including 1-2 of 3 winter holidays unless unit is closed

Uses Epic EMR

Robotics equipment includes DaVinci Xi, Mako, and Rosa systems

Compact RN license accepted

Active RN license (IA single-state or compact/multistate)

Current BLS and ACLS certification from AHA or ARC

Minimum 24 months of current Operating Room experience required

Proficient experience in DaVinci robotics required

Proficient experience in vascular cases required (TCAR, TAVR, bypass, endarterectomy, embolectomy, AV fistula)

Proficient experience in general surgery required

Epic EMR experience required

Spine surgery experience preferred

Scrub experience preferred

Travel experience within the previous 15 months required

Driver's license required for consideration

Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred

Perform circulating and/or scrub duties supporting a variety of surgical specialties including robotics, vascular, and general surgery cases

Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address

Prior UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are restricted from working travel assignments at any UPH market facility within 12 months of separation

Limited time-off requests permitted during the Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year holiday periods
