POSITION: INTAKE SPECIALIST Supervised by: Program Manager and Director of Programs Department: Housing Classification: Full Time Position Status: Non-Exempt Location: Pendleton Main Office Wage: $3,816 / Monthly Benefits: Benefits: Health, Dental, RX, Vision, FSA, Life Insurance, 401K Plan, Vacation, Sick and Holidays Position Overview Processes client applications and determines eligibility for housing programs. Maintains accurate client files that require retention of supporting documentation. Enter client information into database. Prepare reports identifying numbers served and funding utilized based on assistance provided. Determines level of need and assistance amounts. Maintain accurate client records, both physical and digital. Ensure timely and accurate completion of reports. Performs other duties as assigned. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and minimum qualifications necessary to perform the essential functions of the position. A two-year college degree, which can be substituted for three years of relevant work experience. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills and legible handwriting. Must be detail oriented and able to work independently with speed and accuracy. Must be able to transition from one application to another based on demand for services. Previous experience interviewing and/or determining client eligibility or customer service environment will be considered. Computer experience and have a working knowledge of Word and Excel. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee must occasionally lift, and/or carry/move objects up to 50 pounds. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, smart phones, photocopiers/scanners, shredders and filing cabinets.
